چکیده
Results — Hemosuccus pancreaticus occurred in chronic alcoholic pancreatitis (N=8) and chronic familial pancreatitis (N=1). Seven patients (77.8%) presented overt digestive bleeding (one melena, two hematochezia, two melena with hematochezia, one hematemesis, one hemorrhagic shock). The inaugural sign was anemia in one patient and epigastric pain in another. An upper digestive endoscopy, performed in eight patients (88.9%), revealed fresh red blood in the first or second duodenum in three and hemossucus pancreaticus in three others. Arteriography was performed in eight patients (88.9%) and CT angiography in one. Surgery was performed in 5 patients (55.6%), after embolization in one. Embolization was effective in 3 patients. Therapeutic abstention proved successful in one patient. There were no deaths.

Hemosuccus pancreaticus as a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding: a report of two cases.
Pancreatic diseases are known to be associated with complications such as pseudocyst and abscess. A pseudoaneurysm associated with pancreatitis may develop as well. The pseudoaneurysm may rupture into various parts of the gastrointestinal tract; the peritoneal cavity, or the retroperitoneum. We report two cases of Hemosuccus pancreaticus admitted to our center in the past five years. One case w...

CONTEXT Hemosuccus pancreaticus is a rare source of gastrointestinal bleeding, the most frequent cause of which is pancreatitis, followed by tumors, but nearly all these tumors are true neoplasms, and not pseudotumors. Furthermore, nearly all pseudotumors of the pancreas and retroperitoneum are inflammatory. CASE REPORT We present a case of hemosuccus pancreaticus associated with a nonneoplas...

Introduction: Hemosuccus pancreaticus is a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding due to hemorrhage into the pancreatic duct, most commonly from pseudoaneurysms. Due to its rarity as well as the intermittent nature of the bleeding, diagnosis is commonly delayed. We report an interesting case of hemosuccus pancreaticus and the associated management issues. Case Report: We report a 32 year old m...

Hemosuccus pancreaticus is a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding from the duct of Wirsung into the duodenum via the ampulla of Vater. Hemosuccus pancreaticus is difficult to diagnose because the bleeding is usually intermittent, and the clinical findings are often discordant. Patients present with pain, either left upper quadrant or epigastric, and bleeding, which may present as melena, bri...

CONTEXT Hemosuccus pancreaticus is a rare cause of intermittent upper gastrointestinal bleeding, commonly caused by aneurysmal rupture. Prompt diagnosis and treatment is required. The standard treatment involves embolization via interventional radiology or a surgical approach. CASE REPORT We report a novel endoscopic approach to hemosuccus pancreaticus with a successful tamponade via pancreat...
